This Month’s Birchbox Design
The May Birchbox design was pretty awesome as it was a limited edition scratchbox, meaning I was able to scratch my very own design into the cover of the box:
I was almost reminded of being a little kid again, when my Granddad would buy little scratch cards and hand me one along with a coin so I could scratch away for some winnings. I tried to scratch a little design into the box (I know it’s not great), as I do like to get a little more creative and imaginative with such things.
The Beauty Products
theBalm Cosmetics Staniac® in Beauty Queen
This two-in-one lip and cheek stain is fantastic for all you beauty queens out there who like a couple of extra minutes in bed before work. The product does exactly what it says on the packaging, it provides a sheer, understated tint for those days at work, or a slightly more noticeable (yet still classy) look for those nights out on the town when more make-up is needed for a lasting look. This is one of my favourites from this month’s Birchbox, as it is so small and portable, and does more than just one thing. Definitely an essential for my make-up bag!
Rituals The Ritual of Dao Mindful Body Scrub
Living in London, I’m sure a lot of ladies (and perhaps even gentlemen) can sympathise with the fact that the pollution, the weather and even the stress from work can be quite rough on the skin. This body scrub, therefore, is exactly the right thing to get your skin soft and glowing again. With its ultra fine Chinese bamboo particles, this is the perfect product to scrub away those dead skin particles and that stress to leave both your skin and your mind relaxed once again.
Philip Kingsley PK Prep Polishing Balm
Are you looking for a nourishing hair balm which also makes those gorgeous locks more glossy? Well look no further because the Philip Kingsley polishing balm does just that! I know what you’re thinking, ‘wouldn’t it just be easier to use my usual conditioner, or even just shampoo my hair?’ Maybe, but you would be missing out on providing that extra bit of TLC for your hair and let’s face it, if you live somewhere hot (or even like me, in a big city like London), your hair will be under a lot of stress from the pollution and heat. This is where the polishing balm comes in, as it brings your hair back to its natural glossiness.
Spectrum Collections Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge (Pink)
This multi-purpose sponge is a genius tool for anyone who needs to apply flawless makeup. With its thin tip and rounded end, the sponge can easily be used to blend in creams on a larger surface area, or other liquid products on smaller areas such as just beneath the eye (or even on the eye lid). I absolutely love this sponge and am already looking to buy a couple more as it is just great for blending in products.
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet
According to the brand, this product will give your body an antioxidant boost, much like a daily glass of red. It’s fruity smell provides a bonus alongside its formula which works on all kinds of skin. So whether you have dry, oily or even combination skin, Caudalie’s moisturising sorbet offers a soothing and hydrating treatment.
A Little Extra: Vita Coconut Oil
I do love using coconut oil for various things, whether it’s for oil pulling (article on this here), or for cooking, it just has fantastic health benefits and I do recommend everyone using it!
This Month’s Favourite Beauty Product
This month’s box is making it quite hard to choose my absolute favourite product, but all in all I would have to say it’s the Rituals The Ritual of Dao Mindful Body Scrub with it’s soothing formula. I’m thinking of buying this product as it practically exfoliated all of my stress away!
As always, thank you for reading Coffee Guaranteed. x
